Hi Folks, Just getting back into the swing of things in 2007. Thanks to all of you who let us know that the website was down over the holidays... oops! That was some hangover. Also thanks to everyone who made it out to the Horseshoe shows, and to the Cash Brothers, NQ Arbuckle, Noel Webb and Michael Johnston for joining us on stage. Lots of updates for ya, so let's get to it, shall we?

Skydiggers February 2007

We're working on new songs with the goal of recording this spring. The working title for the new recording is "City of Sirens" and here is an acoustic demo that Josh and I have made of the title track, "City of Sirens" (Please Right-click and Save As or CTRL-Click). We'll have more info about the album for you as our plans progress.

Andy has been asked to write 2 songs for an evening presented by new music group the Art of Time ensemble. www.artoftimeensemble.com The shows are March 15th and 16th at the Enwave Theatre at Harbourfront in Toronto. Sarah Slean and Martin Tielli will also be performing at the concerts. Check out the Art of Time website for ticket info.

Josh and Andy aka Finlayson/Maize have been asked by the Cowboy Junkies www.cowboyjunkies.com to open some more shows for them in April, this time on the west coast of the U.S. Check out the tour page for more info.

The Skydiggers will be playing an acoustic show to open this year's Blyth Festival on April 20th. Here's the scoop...

One last thing...

And finally, we thought you'd get a kick out of hearing a slice of folkrock from one of our first recording sessions. Tom Dooley (Please Right-click and Save As or CTRL-Click)features the original lineup of Peter Cash, Waynes Stokes, Ronnie von Johnnie, Josh Finlayson and Andy Maize in a live off the floor session recorded at Grant Avenue Studio in Hamilton by Michael Philip Wojeda (mixed by Joe Dunphy) sometime in 1988 or '89. The lyrics are taken from the original folk song, coupled with our own music and melody. Check out Ronnie's lead bass!
Enjoy!

See ya
